A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
You'd think. I know guys that got in trouble when young and got arrested for stuff that could have been a felony, but was supposedly reduced. I don't think I'm out of line in suggesting that what someone gets told, and what record the state actually has, can be different. I've gone through, and known others who go though that kind of thing with the DMV for example. Either way, they're too scared to try.
