Well, here it is! The media has latched on to the fact that by law a dealer can sell a person a gun if their background check hasn?t been returned after 3 days.

    https://kdvr.com/news/coronavirus/co...ssive-backlog/

?Before the coronavirus outbreak, it usually took the Colorado Bureau of Investigation eight minutes to process a firearms background check. But now, because of the surge in gun purchases, ittakes about 3 days to get a background check completed.

That has become an issue for the state because, according to federal law, it only has three business days to process a background check before a gun dealer can sell the gun without one completed.
FOX31 has confirmed that at least one Coloradan was able to purchase a gun even though the background check was denied.?

That adds up to 55.7k, ~77% of the total. That's a big number of valid rejects. I'm actually surprised.

A friend bought a handgun last Tuesday. Just went and picked it up today. Seven days start to finish. Crazy. Like back when we had the ten day wait period.

Is that what his aide told him to do?

That's basically what I heard. The guy behind the counter was excited that the number was less than 10,000.
