Was talking with my Dad yesterday and in Ohio if you have a carry permit you can walk out with your firearm as soon as your paperwork is done? sigh

Not accurate, it does not matter if you have a carry permit in Ohio, just a correct drivers license

Let me clarify, you don?t have to wait for them to call and get a blessing over the phone before you can leave with your purchase when you have a carry permit.
North Carolina was also this way if you had a carry permit. Unfortunately in North Carolina if you didn?t have a carry permit you had to go to your local sheriff and get a pistol purchase permit each time you wanted to buy a handgun. The legislature tried to undo the Jim Crow holdover law this year but the Dem governor vetoed it.
TX is the same
I moved here 5 years ago from AZ, with a CCW you had to fill out the form but no call was needed.
