Something to remember is the estimated wait time is only based on the front of the line, e.g. whose check they just cleared. So if we started this morning with a 10 minute wait time and add ten full days worth of people in line, it'll estimate no more than part of a single day wait for all of them as they process checks that day.

9,000 sounds like it may take upwards of 4-5 days unless they brought on extra staff.

They brought in extra people to help cut the back log. CBI is conducting checks 0900 to 2100 Monday through Friday. On Monday at 0900 there were 6300 in queue, by Thursday 1700 there were over 9,000. Approval times are right around 3 business days. At this point they are shoveling sand against the tide. I think the wait time will improve as stores run out of inventory to sell.

Well, did one Friday for an out of state transfer that was just delivered to the store. Hope I get cleared and can pick it up before Gov Polesmoker declares "shelter in place" rules!

One of the things I really hated leaving behind in Idaho...no BGC for gun purchases. I haven't even been into a gun store since I've been in OK.

I've got a lower coming in that I don't expect to see until May at this rate.

was in Dangerlee's this afternoon to file transfer paper for an out state purchase and was told that there are nearly 11,000 in the que ahead of me. The place was a buzz with a couple guys buying suppressors, and others purchasing other firearms. Maybe able to pick up in 4 days, maybe..
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

And now it appears the Feds are moving the bar on Delays.
    As it is written:

If the FFL has not received from the NICS a final determination after 3 business days have elapsed since the delay response, it is within the FFL's discretion whether or not to transfer the firearm (if state law permits the transfer)
I have seen numerous references today on "that other site" that NICS "Delays" are not to be transferred until mid April.

    A post quote:
I'm an FFL, and have received the long delay transfer date, and have been trying to figure this out. Here is what I think is happening. The Brady transfer date is 3 business days. The BATFE defines a business day as one where the state and federal gov'ts are working, which they are not for the next couple of weeks at least. So they pushed the date as far out as they could, and still keeping it under 30 days, when the 4473 expires. So for a NICS check on 3/20, the BTD is 4/15, and the 4473 expires on 4/19. So unless it comes back as "proceed" meanwhile, the transfer has to take place between 4/15 and 4/19, otherwise a new 4473 and NICS check has to be generated
