Stick to roma and cherry ones down here. the beefsteaks suffer from the heat / monsoon dilemma. Too much water than, heat for weeks on end. So we end up with very tough skinned, cracked (chasm actually) tomatoes.
With all that effort, I'm just tempted to buy and can a couple of cases and call it done!
