    Default Hello!

Got referred to here by a friend.
I tend to shoot handguns mostly but also like long range practice for hunting. Looking at getting into a nicer AR platform as the one i bought a few years back i got hosed for being a naive buyer and took the seller at his word, which was a liar. Its sad there are people like this but it is the world we live in. So Im here to gain knowledge as well as meet new people.
    Cheers!

    Welcome, join the fray.

We say build your own. AR15 = Legos for big kids.

Lots of Long range shooters here too.

It all depends on what you want the rifle to do. My recommendation is go to a match or a class. Decide on a purpose.

Example - why do you want to stick to 16" barrel length. Lots of options out there, especially if you go down the "Stamp" hole.

Do you want to shoot long range with your AR? Competition? CQB? Hunting? Home defense?

    Thanks for the help!
I want this one to be mostly home defense and shortest legal barrel without doing the stamp.
Something that is still effective to 200yrds with a dot or halo sight. (new to these also so gotta try a few)
Also do some light fun drills when going out to shoot.

Let someone look at your rifle before you drop any money. There are some good armorers in the springs, and some good ranges (and some bad of both). I'd be happy to look over your rig and tell you what I think. I'm not forceful with my opinions and I'm in the Springs. Feel free to PM me here. Good luck and have fun!

I have. It's a no name piece. Nothing worth modifying. Just want to upgrade. Thanks for the offer.
