recently tried my hand at a paint job. When I bought this rifle it was all one color, same as the barrel and action. I wanted some variety. Kind of wish I'd have taken the time and done one more color, but for now, she'll do.

Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
After getting a good deal on a Burris XTRII 5-25 scope in a funky camo pattern, I decided to spray my Barrett to match. I did a bit of research and found a DIY hydro dip kit that had the same camo pattern by Pyrm1, though it turned out Pyrm1 makes the pattern in different shades. The scope is a lighter tan, whereas the rifle dip has more green tones. I practiced on several small pieces in the sink and never could get it right. So, I figured I'd spray it or wrap it. I then decided I'd take a shot at dipping it in the bathtub, and if it came out bad, I'd just spray over it anyway. It actually came out pretty sweet. There are a few lines where I wasn't smooth on the dip motion, and the bottom didn't get any ink so I just used camo paint and a brush to half-ass that section. I may get some vinyl wrap in the same pattern to do the barrel.
