I don't have the luxury of blocking/deleting folks for my own pleasure. I have to be able to see everyone's posts for site management purposes. When I block someone, it is a ban, so I try to be discreet..

In the last week I have had to restore the content of 2 members Trading Post ad's. We went through the whole hullabaloo more than a year ago when I made it clear that this was unacceptable, yet it still occurs. One of these members is nothing but a TP troll (posts nowhere outside of the TP). Both of these members will be losing their TP access for a month if they remove their content again. THAT is how I block others here.

Some wonder why it's such a big deal. Leaving in the value you are asking helps other members gauge their pricing for items which can help ensure they don't get accused of price gauging. It also helps those looking to make a purchase to get a better feel for what they might expect an item to cost at any particular point in time. Maintaining the content helps the community as a whole. Note: While I think it's foolish, some add in their personal contact information in their ads. I have no issue with folks removing that information for their personal security (but then why have it in the ad in the first place; just monitor the ads and your PM's).

So yeah, I too have a number of folks I'd prefer to not have to see their posts, but I don't get to block them.

Oh, I seriously thought about publicizing the list.

Mostly to give those on the list a chance to evaluate their behavior and actions and decide if there is anything about themselves they wanted to think about.

Better sense got the best of me and I realized that publishing my list would only trigger hurt feelings so I'll just let them continue on with their lives and I'll continue on with mine without having to accidentally read their nonsense.

    Bam!

    Another one bites the dust.

This is starting to get fun.

If I suspect you are an idiot but have no proof I?ll probably let you slide. Once I have legitimate confirmation that you are an idiot it?s straight to the block list.

    Carry on.

Okay, so now that the world is settling back to some sort of normalcy, I have decided to go ahead and unblock everyone that was annoying the crap out of me and let the chips fall where they may.

While we will have to agree to disagree about a lot of things and I will still have a rather low opinion about some of you, I?m willing put up with it for the sake of full access to all of the thoughts and opinions expressed here in the forum.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

You guys are kind of like family. A few dear ones, some good ones, some slightly annoying ones, and a few you?d rather not have to be around.

    Cheers to diversity I guess.

Does that mean I don't have to wear a mask because of your avatar ????
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.

No, you're still going to want to wear the mask.

Poor bathing habits during COVID lockdown have brought about rather unpleasant bodily odors you'll want to filter out.

    Just sayin'

The avatar gets changed once I have a decent sit down meal in a restaurant.

Until then we are living under the ?new normal? and even a picture could possibly kill you if you look at it too long.

Probably ought to put on a welding helmet as well as a face mask. Just to be safe.

Well, I haven?t gotten everyone unblocked yet. Seems it might be a good thing because I think one of my blocked people is still being a serious jackass in a recent thread.
