    Default Vehicle registration?

Does anyone know what the plan is with registration? The county dmv is closed, my email to the clerk came back with a closed message and not much else. The temp tag on my new motorcycle expires on the 26th. Is it extended until the county businesses open again?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answers.

Here's the DMV link that explains some of their new protocol. https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dmv...hicle-services

They do have employees at work even though they are not open. From what I've been told they're using this time to "catch up."

Gotta do it online, then print out a document to carry with you as proof of renewal, until your sticker arrives in the mail.

Just went through this a couple weeks ago.

If you purchased through a dealer, the instructions tell you to go back to the dealer for another temp tag. I applied for and received (a week later) an extension letter from the State for my renewal

Good to know, thanks. I've just been cruising around with expired dealer temps.

Ditto on this I bought a motorcycle form a dealer last month and they told me to come back to them and they would print another if the offices were not open yet.

Heads up @ the kiosks... sometimes your insurance isnt onfile (reliably updated to the state) & you cant renew until that is sorted. You can try to have your insurance company push it through again & that can take up to 72 hours & another trip to the kiosk.

Doesn't always work as that has been the issue for me, unfortunately.

My registration renewal requires an emissions test . . . which, of course, you can't do because they are closed. And the state says they "dont have the authority to waive emissions". Do apparently I have to fill out an extension form. But it doesn't tell you what happens after that.

Hoping the state opens up in May and then I will still be in the normal 30-day grace period. But I guess I'll fill out the form and see what happens.
