Why are there always so many ?guests? viewing?
On a lighter note, anyone noticed how many ?guests? are viewing compared to members?

A lot of it has to do with how the ~15 year old forum software tracks visitors in the first place. Bots usually don't accept cookies, so as a robot spiders the website, it's likely to often track each page as a unique visitor. And then shows that unique visitor as being on the site for about ~30 minutes after that.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

We get a LOT of bot activity from time to time, in surges typically. Some (few) of the "visitors" are legit, most are bots.
But then again, I'm not saying it's aliens, but...
it's aliens.
