This is how we spent the 4th of July weekend in 2018. The Spring Fire near LaVeta Pass, Colorado. Over 108,000 acres burned.

Ballsiest aviators I have ever seen.
Too bad you have to cut back on payload to accommodate the weight of the brass balls you guys have.

    Thank you

We've been watching the C130 flying low over the valley all day until about 5 pm. They've been circling up the St.Vrain Divide to the Continental Divide and back east every 7 minutes. Doing practice water bombing runs. Fun to watch got lots of pics. There's a smaller transport plane and a twin engine spotter running with the big plane.

When the Angels flew over the city with the smoke show, I was standing in line at the junk yard. One guy apparently didn't realize this was planned, and with a completely straight face he asked out loud, "What do you think they're spraying?"

They're just harmless chemtrails. Pay no attention.

Great photos, thanks Hoser. What was your role on the plane? Interesting the tanks and slurry mixer that goes on the plane. Apparently the discharge pipe can be seen on the left side of the plane behind the wing.

We weren't able to see the water drops yesterday but today I was up the mountain at Beaver Reservoir and watched multiple drops over the St. Vrain Divide. Here's a couple of shots:
