    Default Colorado budget shortfall

Starting to see rhetoric published by media and comments made by politicians about budget shortfall due to COVID19 shutdown.

How long til rhetoric about TABOR "must be repealed"?

My money says plan is in place to kill TABOR and it is already in process behind the scenes.

That bill was written years ago and waiting for just the right emergency.

BUT, BUT decriminalizing marijuana would solve all the state tax problems. Or was that for education? No it was for the roads, that's it, the roads

Wouldn't surprise me. Folks in Washington are expecting to be hit with an income tax after this.

Whenever government is faced with a shortfall in their ability to spend their answer is always 'get more money'.

    Gotta' feed the monster.

slap a little extra on property taxes will be another avenue for them to go for.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

They don't need to repeal Tabor, the emergency health order allows them to implement a tax.

Budget shortfall is just the excuse to attack TABOR.

TABOR has been an abomination in Colorado Democarats eyes for two decades.

Tabor should keep us safe from new taxes.

Unfortunately the overwhelming amount of new fees is going chew up everyone?s income. Well, mostly the poor. The well-to-do crowd will be fine.

    By statute or by declaration?

Have not been able to locate any text of either.
