A former national security official for the Trump White House said Wednesday that former CIA Director John Brennan deliberately suppressed intelligence evidence that showed Russian President Vladimir Putin would benefit if "the more predictable and malleable" Hillary Clinton was elected president in 2016.

Frankly, it makes sense. Clinton is an open book and follows a predictable set of plays. Trump is all over the map, and ran an on America First platform: something that isn't necessarily great for Russian influence in Asia and elsewhere.

... and anyone is surprised because ? One of the things I blame Bush for was promoting Brennan to DCI. He absolutely should never have been put in that position. I'm hoping there's some highly classified info somewhere that says he did a fabulous job at NCTC because it certainly doesn't appear from publicly available information that he did anything worthwhile. He seems to have been a partisan shill first and foremost -- which makes his promotion by Bush all the more mysterious.

History will not be kind to Bush the Younger, he didn't act on behalf of the United States either. Peter Boyles mentioned in passing that Cheney was the actual president, might be something to keep in mind if Biden wins.
