Prices are already going up. Get it now if you can. I feel with all this new money we will get inflation. Right now it seems baking goods are in short supply

Just a bit of input, while I see what you are seeing in the metro, I was in CS this weekend for Mother's Day, and when we went to the dog park on Tuesday, the Safeway off GoG and Centennial had an excellent selection of meat products. I was only there for bottled water and chips for lunch, but my step daughter went back by on her way home (let's say about 3:30-4:00), and was able to get what she wanted. Chicken, ground beef and pork. She didn't mention restrictions, but then again, she wasn't "stocking up" but she was headed back up to Breckenridge for a few weeks.

I do think it's going to get a dicey for 4-6 weeks before it comes back online.

And I'm not exactly sure when that 4-6 weeks will kick in in earnest.

Thanks for the info, guys! I will check out Shamrock tomorrow. And thank you for suggesting checking out the Springs- I guess I'm so focused that it never even occurred to me to go outside the area.

The paper goods aisle was ravaged, but the meat section was very solid. I didn't take the time to peruse in detail, but the end cap on one of the gondolas was probably 3 layers deep of Johnsonville brats, Italian, etc.
The wall shelves were pretty well stocked as well. Didn't veer over, but there not many, if any blank spots.
I was going to swing back by on my way back north, but I forgot until it was "too late" in my opinion.

The above mentioned conversation with my step daughter was after I had gotten back home a bit after 4. She had just finished shopping.

There is still hope (not to make it sound bad).

Side note: We watched Soylent Green with her this weekend. Her first time.

About 2/3 - 3/4 the way through, her eyes got wide and she actually looked at us and said "Holy Shit".

She got it. She's 33 btw. She was astounded, and she's not simple or sheltered. I do think a little light came on for her though.

My younger brother is the same way. He and my Mom are in another state, so I'm trying to make sure they both have what they need. Mom is compromised by age and by immunodeficiencies; I order groceries for her through the local grocery store (and I thank God they began home delivery less than a year ago.) But getting my brother to stop and grocery shop for them both is like pulling teeth. I called him and tried to explain I needed him to get to Costco and buy a few hundred dollars of meat and paper goods. He was unconcerned, and said, "If I run low on things, I'll run to the store and pick it up." He could NOT understand. I made a sufficient pain in the ass of myself that my niece drove two hours to shop for them. Even then, supply was low.

Light FINALLY dawned about the end of March when they could not find toilet paper anywhere. I ended up shipping them some of our own supply, which was some of the most expensive TP in the world. It is a blessing they both have chest freezers, and have been listening to me as to stocking up now.

It's about time for another grocery shop for them both, though. I'll have to schedule a shopper.

Amazing how even people you want to think are somewhat self reliant have no idea about real, day to day life.

Well, it's a different life they lead. They're kind of removed from the news right now, although I hadn't realized that they were QUITE as removed from it as they are.

I'll watch out for them. It's a little tougher than I expected, but I'll figure things out.
