Aloha_Shooter & TheGrey sum it up very well.
We hear everyone's concerns that it can sometimes be overwhelming to the rest of the GD forum to see all of those individual posts. We do not disagree. But we also feel that each of these men and women deserve to be recognized individually for their sacrifices.
As a retired Airman, who served briefly in an LE role, I can appreciate the idea that we should also post the deaths of our active duty service men and women - but no one on the staff has the time to commit to such an endeavour. We would welcome anyone who wishes to step forward to take this on.
In the mean time, if anyone finds it bothersome, please just scroll past these threads. For anyone else, I hope that you, like me, are awestruck, humbled and saddened by the loss of so many who have sacrificed their lives to help keep order versus chaos and ensure America can be the great civilized nation for our children that we enjoyed.
Ginsue out.
ETA: Whether military or law enforcement, serving your nation and/or your community is a calling. Not all receive this calling and not all answer it. I'm very grateful for those who do. I don't mind working through each of those threads to get down to the other general discussion topics.
