They were contained due to Daleys cops and NG, actively keeping them in confined areas. I remember the reporters live from a hotel room about 8 stories up from he ground saying. We can feel the tear gas this high up.

It's interesting to note, for the younger crowd, The Chicago convention riots were at the DNC Convention. The yippies (Abbie Hoffman & Jerry Rubin) organized the protest along with 1 or 2 other groups. Daley issued 1 permit to assemble, at Lincoln Park. BUT instituted a curfew (11 pm?) After that hour when the "protesters" didn't disperse. is when Daley's side let loose. Under the guise of hey they didn't obey the curfew.

Compare those tactics of the Democrat ran city. To today's D tactics, where they hope ignoring, as well as supporting the protesters, it goes away.

Someone strung together a couple videos showing the string of events in pretty good detail.

The first guy shot at the car dealership had previously confronted the armed group apparently calling themselves the Kenosha Guard and even yelled at them to shoot him while being very agitated. The group can be seen pulling each other back from the argument. This group of armed civilians were on video coordinating with the rioters earlier on in the night telling them they have no beef and are there just to protect businesses, not to interfere with their protests of the government/police.

I can't see the shooter in any of the videos with the Kenosha Guard groups that I've seen, so he may or may not be affiliated.

    EDIT -

Here a video of the armed civilian group earlier in the night saying they were there to defend businesses and not the government. This is the same group seen in the above video trying to remove themseleves from the confrontation with the guy in the red shirt who was later shot.

Julia Jackson, the mother of Jacob Blake, blasted rioters who have caused substantial violence and riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this week after her 29-year-old son was shot by police during an attempted arrest, saying that she is “disgusted” by their behavior.

“My family and I are very hurt and quite frankly disgusted,” Jackson told CNN’s Don Lemon. “And as his mother, please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name. You shouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t do it anyway, but to use my child or any other mother or father’s child, our tragedy to react in that manner is just not acceptable. And it’s not helping Jacob. It’s not helping Jacob or any other of the men or women who has suffered in these areas.”

Later, when asked if she had anything that she wanted to say to any elected officials, Jackson said, “For our President Trump, first I want to say a family member — and I don’t know if it was heard or not — said something that was not kind. She is hurting and I do apologize for that. Our outburst does not reflect our behavior. And also, for President Trump, I’m sorry I missed your call because had I not missed your call, maybe the comments that you made would have been different. And I’m not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country. Like I said before, and I’m not saying this to him directly, we should always get the details from the right source before we start throwing bricks.”

Yes, it is. She has my respect for maintaining her humanity and composure during what is obviously probably one of the worst times of her life.

Wow. I can't say I'm surprised, but it sure seems excessive.

I am surprised he's only 17. Dude seemed to totally maintain his composure during the whole thing. Immediately made a call after the car dealership (reports are it was to 911) and didn't shoot any innocents while he was on the ground. Even gave the 3rd attacker a chance when he froze for a second.

Yet another example of why we want insurance that covers legal actions. You could be perfectly justified and firing in self-defense with complete control of the weapon (i.e., no danger to any bystanders) and still end up in court. I don't know if that's the case here since I haven't viewed the video but today's society is just too unpredictable. SJWs have gotten so embedded in all levels of government that I'm not surprised about the charges.

Default HEADLINES READ : "17 YEAR OLD QUELLS RIOT" (no)

So regardless of how the press portrays the shooter, a 17 year old saved the city for the night. The press reported after the shootings, the "protesters" left the streets and no more buildings were burned.

Kenosha should be giving him a medal, not prosecuting him.
