    Default Model rocket launch?

My 6 year old is into model rockets now but they dont allow launching in broomfield parks and open spaces. Anyone know a place in northern denver area we can launch them?

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

Was talking to a Co-Worker who is deeply involved with Model rockets (starting to get into the really expensive stuff), and he's got me wanting to get into rockets. Fortunately you can launch the beginner stuff just about anywhere here, they've also got a few places dedicated to all levels of launching. Hopefully you find a place, if so, be sure and post pics/video.

I think Longmont allows it with a permit. I think the permit is cheap free.
And if you are this way you can have the old rocket I launched with the kids and whatever gear I find for it.

Make sure to use streamers instead of parachute if it's going to be windy.

Might have to fix the fins upon recovery, but you'll usually get it back. Not necessarily the case if it catches a gust with a parachute.

My dad would do model rockets with his science classes. Ended up building a crazy launch control system out of a briefcase with something like 12 ignition switches. Thing looks like a bomb. lol.

Unfortunately, we are currently under covid restrictions/no fly by the park because we're known for filling the parking lot every time we fly. We hope to be back to operations very soon. Please pm me or contact us through our website.

We're a 501(c)(3) & there's no membership fees to fly. We have a menagerie of people from ULA, School of Mines students, boy/girl scouts, aerospace engineers, Moms, Dads ... you name it. All ages are welcome to attend & fly. *Please make note of our size & propellant limits for this venue.

We'd love to have you come fly with us.
