ATF planning to legislate pistol braces

Many months ago I was looking at an AR with a brace at Green Mountain Guns. One of the clerks said he has inside knowledge that ATF are planning to ban braces. I though he was saying that to push for a sale at the time, maybe he actually did know.

Which model? And why only one?

As with pretty much every other case of ATF letters, we're doomed to fail, this year, or otherwise pretty soon.

The design of most looks like they'd make really effective bookends, with correct adaptations to make sure they couldn't be misused, like updated package labeling.

The ATF is probably tired of everybody writing, and asking for clarification.
