Default Relaying info: Lon Laufman passed away recently

If you've been around CO for some time, attended various shows and shoots, you probably came across Lon. "Lon Laufman of Lakewood Colorado passed away yesterday of medical complications. Lon was huge....and one of the "GO TO" specialists in the "larger
venue" of NFA items. Lon helped a lot of people who dabbled in the 20MM on up items. He kept us safe....and a BIG smile on our faces. A skilled machinist who could
make parts when none could be found. Here's a short video of him shooting his 75MM Pack Howitzer.
A Great Man....Buddy....and Friend who will be missed by many."

Too bad, he was an interesting guy. Met him through Alan & MGT.

May he Rest in Peace. Met Lon at several machine gun shoots. Definite memories of shooting his Lahti, 20 MM, and while actually shooting the 37 MM Bofars was a little rich for my blood, it was always fun to watch. He was always very patient in answering any and all questions.

Lon was terrific, always polite and happy to help. He helped me out a few times. RIP

I remember at a machine gun shoot he let me run a mag through an M249....that was fun.

Sad to hear about his passing. I remember him well from the 'Shoots' out East years ago. Really a good guy, full of knowledge and ready to share it.

I don't think I ever saw him without a frickin grin on his face. RIP Lon and thanks!
