I am glad that the pro sports has fallen out of cultural peer pressure in the last 20 years or so. E.g. Everyone used to have a chip on their shoulder / common theme about watching the superbowl, Now ironically everyone has a chip on their shoulder about not watching the superbowl and acts like they're a special minority that isn't glued to a TV [they may not realize the worlds turned almost ten thousand times since the 90s]...
People giving a shit about pro sports are long since a minority. That said, I do respect other cultures/interests - not talking about all this racial crap, just the fact that I know a lot of people do care deeply about "the game" and I like them to be able to continue doing what they do while I keep doing what I do, ofc I know we're all on the same page there.
