That picture (and the plethora of others available) with the Communist hammer and sickle should be front and center on all media coverage of these protests everywhere. That is what this is really about. The leaders and organizers of these protests are Marxist/Communists and don’t really try to hide it. Even a quick look at the history of every Communist revolution will show you that the 500-1000 people killed (or who die in police custody, regardless of the cause) in the US is absolutely nothing compared to the purge that follows every single time a Communist “revolution” occurs by the replacement of the existing law enforcement. That doesn’t include the inevitable imprisonment of political dissidents they decide not to outright execute. Every time. Without fail.

Of course, I doubt half the population under 30 even knows what the hammer and sickle is, let alone the mass slaughter of innocent people it has wreaked upon the world ��. I watched a supposed documentary about WWII called Race to Victory on the History Channel. It ended by saying Stalin won the race to victory, brought his country back from the brink of defeat to beat one of the great “capitalist” countries in the world, being Nazi Germany, and was loved and cherished by his people. This after documenting the mass political slaughter of his “people” through the 6 episodes in the series. This re-writing of history is pervasive and has real, dangerous consequences.

You are absolutely right. But that angle will NEVER be mainstream. And you're also right that younger folks won't even know (or care). Just like Antifa being the obvious fascists, it will never be a mainstream story. Every symbol, idea, action and strategy they use is straight up out of the Marxist playbook. But it will never be admitted. Even if it was, would it stop?

I didn't live through the Cold War. Did the domestic commies ever gain this much traction then as they seem to be now? Because with my eyes, and I've studied the Cold War quite a bit, this seems worse here on our soil IMO.

Not even close. I've never seen communism as proudly and openly displayed and encouraged in this country in my nearly 60 years. And I've never seen so much apathy towards such displays. Even what we thought of as the far left in the 80s and 90s never embraced communism, at least openly, like this. It's surreal. I feel like I'm seeing images of some third world shithole country.

ETA: Hell, even the commies in the country, who were open about being commies, were pretty subtle compared to the Marxists of today.
