    Default State Capital Area Deterioration.

I'm sure it is not news to anyone that the area around the Capital building, Civic Center park and surrounding areas have become a real POS. The media is covering this in their usual way and our politicians are doing nothing.

If you have not been down there in a while, take a drive. It is beyond belief! Tents and piles of trash everywhere. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING HERE!!!

They are putting up temporary chain link fence sections around OUR STATE CAPITAL BUILDING to keep it from being vandalized, there is graffiti and broken windows everywhere and plywood covers most of the first floor windows in any business in a 4 BLOCK AREA!!

Disgusting to say the least. It is (was) a great place for out of towners/staters to visit. Fantastic history and a wonderful tour, I saw several small groups of obvious tourist walking through this sea of vermin. What a great impression! Right Mr. Polis?

Bottom line is why did these jerks even get to this area and tear it up 7 weeks ago WITH NO POLICE OPPOSITION, where was the State Patrol?? On stand-down???

If you have seen it, you will be pissed. If you have not seen it, get ready.

By the way, they are doing a study on the cost of restoration of the damage to the buildings and monuments, they can't get and estimate because damage continues every day! It will probably take over 3 years and 2 mil to pay for this. They have less than a handful of perps and will convict 0.

    Need to check my blood-pressure.

Our damage is nothing compared to other areas. Minneapolis along estimates $500 Million dollars in damage with $50 million to gov. building. Walgreens estimates $75 million UNINSURED losses to store damage and inventory theft just for the month of May nationwide. I support peaceful protests but this is out of hand.

We would drive by there somewhat regularly on our way home from the Denver Zoo, up until the end of 2019, and it was a shit hole back then, I can only imagine what it's like now.

I work in those boarded up buildings. Every day another window, door, or something is busted out. Costing tax payers tons!

92 windows broken in the city and county building.

Pretty depressing going in each day to see the damage.

I went by there a couple of weeks ago. What a disgrace to our state. Previously, you could always count on some freaks walking around or waiting for the Number 15 Bus, but the whole area now looks like some sort of 3rd world shithole.

There has been a steady progression of decline downtown. Tents everywhere downtown and when I had to go into RiNo.

"Progressive" certainly doesn't mean what they want you to think it means.

I do not envy the Denver Police Department or the State Patrol for having to deal with this crap. Morale has to be less than average.

We are behind you and appreciate what you are doing, keep the faith.

Spent the night up in the Centennial area. Never went past Arapahoe Ave. Ate at Tacobe’s, hit up Cabelas, stopped at Bowers Tactical for some parts and then on to the Container Store for the wife. Oh and Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory for desert last night!!
Wanted to go to Top Flight Golf but wife said it was to hot!!!
All that because she had an eye exam there. Gotta love Bowers!

Good thing. Up here around Cherry Creek State Park, the bums are branching out, east along Hampden.

A girl that works at the park says every day they are breaking camps and kicking out hobos.
