To settle this and stop the hoards of pm's let me explain how this works.
We (the staff) view it as a tradition of ours to reserve the right to change a persons title based upon something the member does that is either really cool or really stupid. We don't change titles at users request because where is the fun for us in that? Its one of the very very very few perks of this job we have.

Why didn't you just note the above in post #9 instead of saying it was user changeable in the profile settings?
This was supposed to just a simple forum tech question, but even it got twerked into something "special".
Sometimes, I just don't get it.
