I still have my G36 in the carry rotation though. The only Glock that fits my hand well.

What other makes and models should be considered?
Might want to convince that relative to up his timetable to have it purchased and BGC completed no later than late Oct....... they may want to have it before the election result announcements.

And why in a 1911 specific thread does a a G-lock fanboy think it necessary to interject any model of Glocks ?

Jesus, that is almost as bad as when a libitard shouts racist when they have no sensible response to a question. Just yanking your chain Lama....... Or not......

    Specifically made for you, love.

Though in fairness, OP asked what other makes and models should be considered. I would contend the Glock is the true inheritor of JMB’s legacy and the highest form of the tilt barrel.

I'm glad that I'm not alone in this conclusion.

In terms of machining, tolerances and mass production, Gaston perfected [see what I did there?] what John started.

I'm with Wulf202. The S&W M&Ps have the same great natural point of aim for me as 1911s. Glocks, not so much. The M&P Shields feel like a concealable 1911 that won't pull my pants down on me.
