    Default ccw for tactical training?

Do I need my CCW to take a pistol course? I researched and cant find what qualifications they require.

No, but often times you can count a tactical pistol course as proof of training to obtain your CCW. Check out Colorado Shooting Sports, they have a great class that does both!

Some schools you do have to have it. It's a, no cost to the school, way of make sure they don't have "Bad Guys" in their classes.

Like folks are saying, there is no state "legal" requirement. You're best course of action is to contact the school or instructor for their specific requirements. Good on you for taking training!

Signed up at Gander mtn for basic pistol training and CCW. so excited. Also found a basic AR class that teaches functionality, proper maintenance and handling of my black rifle. Excited for that too.

Im in the market for a new pistol. I love my 1911 but think it may be a bit much to carry, any suggestions on pistols and holsters before class?

Glock 26 or 27 with a Bladetech IWB Kydex Holster.

I've also heard good things of the Galco Summer Comfort and the Desantis Cozy Partner, but I don't have any experience with them.

IMHO, CCW classes should cover more on law/legality and civil liability issues more.
