    Default Done by professionals...

Port of Beirut warehouse destroyed is what I see from various videos. I'm gonna guess somebody blew up some rockets used for terror. Ammunition going off before the rocket propellant ignites. Probably was a real nice stash of weapons.

Who knows what it was, but I wouldn't bet a penny that it was fireworks.

Fireworks storage places have gone up before. They have MANY more smaller explosions and even some that make it into the air and can clearly be seen as fireworks. They don't just all explode at the same moment sending a shockwave for miles. They carry on for a bit.

Flashes maybe small arms munitions popping off? I agree with bushmasterboy there.

That was either some sort of munitions depot or there was a large weapon of some sort.

I too have seen the reports that it was a weapons facility.

I've also seen some reports that there may have been some ballistic missile development going on at that location. <--- That sounds like something that could result in this sort of explosion.

    Default Major food storage destroyed

Apparently Hezbollah has supposedly quite a large rocket inventory. We will probably never get a accurate forensics report on this incident. I'm sure a good photo interpreter could calculate what the materials were, from the explosions crater. My personal opinion is these were rockets/missiles made in another country and arrived in Beirut by ship. I'm just glad they did not get deployed. The building next to the warehouse was grain silos with a capacity of 120,000 tons of grain. So besides the damage to the city, the largest supply of food is gone. The gold market reacted by pushing gold prices way over $2000.
