For reference, using a conversion factor found online (so it must be true) that's a 1.1 Kiloton explosion.

The Trinity blast was 20 Kilotons.

The conventional explosive test before Trinity was only 0.1 Kilotons.

That thing was a small nuke in power.

Amazing images. If you look closely you can see the left seawall in the after photo has been bulged outward. The soil was moved from the crater all the way across the port facility.

Also looks like the small ship that was in the corner, seaward of the building was turned almost 90 degrees and tossed up on dry land to the right.

The infuriating thing is that the AN has been sitting in that warehouse for 6 years! All while the bureaucrats have been pointing fingers are each other and saying "it's not my job."

I don't understand why if nobody wanted the AN, it wasn't loaded onto a barge, taken out into the Mediterranean and dumped in the water.

    Default Grain dust maybe...

If you look closely, you can see the grain silos have a conveyor belt running from the end of the pier. This conveyor belt moves the grain from ships to the storage silos. If dust from the grain is allowed to mix with the ammonium nitrate, you will definitely have an explosive mixture. The satellite photos are 6 months apart and probably a commercial satellite company product.
As far as my previous posts about terrorist munitions, they maybe wrong. But it does seem the port tended to store explosive materials all in the same area. It has been reported that some local officials have been placed under house arrest. It is also been reported that Hezbollah had the most control of the Port of Beirut.

Pic below clearly shows the conveyor to the silos from a ship docked.

Interesting that the phrase we know all to well was uttered almost reflexively by the cameraman as the shockwave precursors sounded in his ear.

    Default BBC short aftermath video

This aerial video shows what appears to be wheat scattered from the blast. SECDEF made a statement that he believes it was an accident. POTUS said generals told him it was a bomb. I'm gonna go with my initial impression, until proved wrong. Fireworks+munitions+AN. I have worked in Port Canaveral before, I have seen some things...

This is pretty incredible. You can see the roof of a car instantly collapse from the overpressure
