I read for information mostly. I read things like Chant du Depart (https://oldafsarge.blogspot.com/) mainly for pleasure because I enjoy the way the author writes and I find the stories interesting. I think I may have to spend some time reading Sippican Cottage too.

Great link, thanks. I'm going back to the start of his blog and enjoyed every one from July 2005. He's an excellent writer with an honest practical view of life.
