    Default Bravo Company Fans

As many of you may know I am one of the leading fans of Bravo Company. I have a bunch of his stuff, and won't buy much from anyone else.

Anyway, as a sign of the times, the internet is taking on a new shape and or size. And as a result businesses are looking for new ways to reach out to their customers.

You may recall that I built a Facebook page for this site a while back. A lot of people have joined us there, and a lot of big businesses have done the same. I thought it had potential so I built a page for Bravo Company. It has been very quiet over there, but now its taking off. Paul is starting to fill the page with content and cool pictures.

So I'm inviting you all to join us over there, if for no other reason then to see the really cool pictures. You can find the site at:

Also, for those that know, Larry Vickers has joined in and has a page there also.

    Hope to see you there!

    I am a fan...

Also, if anyone cares to do so, I am a fan of co-ar15.com on Facebook as well. Click on the members list and friend me. My avatar on Facebook is the same as the one I use here..

    A Warning about facebook.

Employers and potential employers are checking the social network sites to screen applicants.

I can say that I dropped 4 candidates out of 20 potential for stuff in their facebook.

I was curious as when I log onto FB most people only share personal info with friends and the only thing you can see or read about someone is a picture, name, and usually friends so how are potential employers allowed access? This has just never made sense to me.

Not that its any of my business, but why?

I can't imagine doing that thorough of a search into someone's background unless there are extrordinary security clearances needed to do the job the candidate applied for. I did some work on the AirForce academy and had to submit to a crazy indepth background check just to plumb new housing units! As far as I know, no one looked up my FB profile though!

A lot of government jobs now require that you give them all of your accounts and user name and log-in info for everything you do online. I'd tell them to fuck off and go look for another job.

I've never had a facebook account, and would love to have an employer waste time looking for a profile for me.

    To answer the questions:

Not a waste of time, takes 5 minutes.

Many do not make their profile private.

We are a small shop and need to be able to work closely with one another. Much like a family.

Facebook/Myspace candid pics, profile info and friends can be telling.

Sometimes you need to find a way to eliminate potential candidates.

If you are going to keep a facebook page, just remember nothing is ever really truly erased.

BTW: I love Bravo Company products!
