Woken up by gunshots

I live in a typically extremely dull part of Centennial. About 2:25 this morning I was woken up by small caliber gunshots, 4 of them with about a 1-2 second interval between. Called it in, was told others had called already. I wonder if someone was going after some kind of wildlife, guess I?ll never know.

Didn?t hear any yelling/shouting/vehicle noise etc. Weird.

I neighbor here claims he used to take out squirrels with a .22 on a regular basis.

The neighbor that would be most likely is out of town lol-without the foxes and coyotes we used to have the rabbits are out of control. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that’s what it was.
