    Default Garage Door Seal Retainer

I needed to replace my garage door seal, but I also need to replace the seal retainer. Does anyone know of a source of such an item?

    Thanks

There's 3 or 4 different type of one,s for the bottom, as well as for the sides and top. HD, Lowes and local hardware stores carry them. Seeing what kind you have always helps.

Yeah, the first place I checked was home depot and they dont carry them apparently. I asked a few garage door suppliers and the few that got back to me don't sell parts directly to consumers.

Lowes sometimes carries different stuff than Depot. 3/8 drywall for example.

Replace the whole unit. OR keep that as your retainer, use this between the door and that piece. I have a different plate setup and the seal was less than adequate. I picked up a roll (16') for my door. Then used the plate to secure the new gasket, using their hardware . works better than the original

OR just replace the entire unit, with something like this

You rarely find replacement gaskets for the original one that came from the mfg.
