Default Can a resident alien own a gun?

Can a resident alien own a gun? That is someone who is not a citizen, but is a permanent resident alien. I did a little browsing on RMGO but didn't see anything right away. I'm sure I can find out with a little more effort on my part, but I thought I'd ask on here in case anyone knew off hand.

    Thanks.

    Yes.

And non-resident aliens can own/buy provided they've got a hunting license.

Thanks very much. I asked about Class III stuff, but she'll probably be a citizen before any of that anyway.

Pet peeve of mine... there's no such thing as a "Class III" firearm. Class III refers to the special tax paid by a dealer in NFA firearms, or a dealer who has paid the special tax, and not the firearms themselves. Right up there with clip/magazine and bullet/cartridge misuse in my list of minor, but very common and slightly-annoying firearms terminology misuses.

e.g a "car dealer" sells cars, but a "licensed dealer" doesn't sell licenses. "Class III dealer" falls in the latter category.
