    Thumbs up Muzzle Brakes

Just wanted to let everyone know that I found a new muzzle brake guy in colorado. He makes aluminum and steel muzzle brakes and I think he can do stainless too but im not sure. I got an aluminum brake fitted for my .308 and it does the job. I only paid 27 bucks for it. He does 4 big ports that face to the outside and it's a great design. His website is http://www.patriotpredatorcontrol.com you have to click on his patriot precision tab and you will see his brakes. He has specs and all that listed and then you can buy them on the site. I emailed him and he called me and is doing a couple of custom brakes for me. I ordered a 10/22 brake but haven't put it on yet. Good luck check him out.

Give Barry Grahame's brakes a look. He has been at it a long time and knows his product well. I have seen his work and he does well. One customer had a 300 WinMag brake done and he said it cut the recoil in 1/2.

BTW-those do look like AMD adaptations!

sort of on the same subject, i am a newbie on compensators, but they generally cause a louder noise correct? ive seen some say they can reduce recoil, rise AND noise, is this really possible? if so can anyone explain how? i might give this guy a shout if i can figure it out.

Never seen one reduce noise. I have three different designs on three different rifles and they are all lower recoil and all very loud.

A muzzle break will not raise the actual noise level, only the shooter's perception of it.
