Yep, it's cheap to fix, but the law frowns upon the method.

And in this gem too from KMGH...

According to Sky-Hi News reports, a 10-acre wildfire, known as the Gore Ridge Fire, started on Linsmayer's property in September 2016 and spread to a neighboring property, causing over $100,000 in damage.

At the very least this nutter likes fire. I wonder if he had to pay compensation after the 2016 fire he started.

Am sure his wife had alot to do with his easy ride on past infractions.

She has been a scumbag for years. Very poor prosecutorial judgement. Little to no support for folks in blue.

She let coscumbag Taye Anderson off the hook for assaulting a Denver police officer during the summer rioting/looting.

This was my thought as well. A "Normal" lowly citizen would be charged as a repeat offender.

Isn't it legal to shoot someone who is engaged in committing arson?

My guess is that this well connected fellow will get off of any felony but will see misdemeanors. Burning slash piles in snow is generally acceptable but not during a fire ban and not left unattended.

The Boulder County wildfire mitigation group recently held a podcast on how to safely burn slash piles. Sometimes they light a thousand or more at a time.

Some years ago we had a pyro neighbor who was always burning something, trash, leaves and weeds, anything. And almost always in dangerously dry conditions. So glad he's gone.
