Hunter safety is good for just general firearm types, functions, and basics. Beyond that, Appleseed.

Boy Scouts and hunting with my dad were two that started me off on the right foot.... just take the kids out with you and instill firearms discipline.

Start with the 4 rules of safe firearm handling. Make them memorize it. Question them on it and make sure they understand what it means.

These days I think it’s a parents priority to teach gun safety.

Get an air soft rifle and teach them the safety fundamentals and make them treat that air soft rifle as if it’s the real thing and then slowly go from there.

What age are we talking about anyway?

Not every parent knows about guns themselves. Could be asking because some niece or nephew is interested. Keep that in mind.
