    Default Colorado Ballot Measures.

With all the hubub surrounding POTUS, I didn't see much mention of the shitstorm we have coming with all the ballot measures that passed save a few quick mentions about 115 and 118 I caught in the other thread.

Say hello to the end runs around TABOR/Gallagher with (IMHO) higher property taxes coming, paying for family leave, and letting women kill 22 week old babies. Appears they haven't called a few yet?

It's interesting, but possible I guess, that people don't vote every issue? The numbers don't line up. SMH.

It is such a dichotomy to me to see voters on one hand vote for a tax reduction, then on the other hand, approve paid family medical leave and Gallagher repeal, which will raise taxes. I can only infer that most were uneducated on the issue/impact and went with the ?that sounds good to me? method.

I think we have a deeply lazy electorate these days. Just my opinion.

One of the cable networks blamed the influx of Californians into Arizona for the Dem victories. Stating things got so bad in California, they left the state. It happened a while back and continues here in Colorado. This just shows they haven't learned their lesson wrt taxing themselves into oblivion. I expect property taxes will go up significantly.

Oh yeah....and the willingness to give up your vote and state's independence with the national popular vote.....

Property tax growth is still limited by TABOR, but yes. Pure stupidity in CO voters.

Did all the other (13?) states pass? I believe that had to happen. No doubt they picked 13 blue states...

That?s the downfall to letting everyone have the right to vote. Nobody is educated on the pros or cons of any of the measures. Most likely don?t know anything about what they?re voting for or against yet their uneducated decision affects pretty much everyone in the state. If they think they know anything about the issues they?re making decisions about it?s probably because they saw some commercial from some organization that skewed the facts to fit their agenda.

I try to be an informed voter, but have definitely skipped issues in the past when my knowledge on the subject was pretty much zero. The bingo question on this years ballot was approaching that criteria.
The vagrants of Boulder welcome you...
