Default Anyone running a LEE APP ?

Curious if any folks here are using a LEE APP press. Id like to hear your experiences.
I would be running brass only. Decap- swage. Possibly sizing pistol. No bullet sizing.

Yes, have been for a few months. Since i no longer do the volume of brass, like i did in CO. There was no need to buy a CP100 or a used 1050. Or could i justify that $$ .

While the thought and design behind it are solid. Lee seems to have great ideas, yet their final product seem to come up short.
Then again for the price point, had they followed through with a higher end press. You'd be in the dillon, or hornady category. With that said, while it's a bit flimsy, tube wise, and everything, outside the press itself, is plastic. I'm happy with it. More so when people see it in action and ask how much i spent.

The APP and Lee swage die kit was $136, delivered to my door. There's a few things one can improve on with thicker plastic for the tubes. I did add a 3d printed case feeder to it.
Still i'm in to it for less than a used incomplete 550.

For a small volume reloader i say buy it. I've also mentioned it on a dillon reloading page when people asked how they process brass. More than a few have picked up the APP and been happy with it.

Nice. Thank you. I’ve been considering it , or getting a 550 , Just hard to justify the price of the 550 for the amount I load.
I just decap/sized and belled about 2300 9mm on my big boss 2 in two evenings. It’s a lot of damn work.

It will still be work with the APP, but less in the long run. Once you find out what needs to be done and the best way to do it. The APP really shines and for the money will make life easier swaging wise.

Hi, that APP with swage kit sounds like it might be a pretty decent setup. Especially since it can be made to do other things besides swage. But the question is: how well does the swage kit work?
I'm looking for another method because my experience with the RCBS swager was disappointing. I ran several hundred through it only to find out that it was still impossible to set a primer in them.

Works fine for me. I've read others have issues and or say it's crap. BUT. IMO you really need to take your time setting it up. Watch a few videos of set up and operation. Once it's up and running, you're gtg. BUT remember every caliber / case needs to be readjusted.

IMO it's well thought out idea. But like most lee presses skips out on quality. However as i mentioned before. If they were to do it as say dillon, or rcbs. You'd be paying 2-3x the price tag

I've done quite a few pieces of crimped lc 5.56 brass and it's all come out great.

Once you set it up and adjusted works good. I have a 3d printed case feeder for it. But the issue of getting it to work with the cheap tubes lee includes was an issue. Turned a piece of material on the lathe to get it sync'd
