I lost my uncle Cliff a couple of month ago, he was there with the marines. If you haven?t heard of this battle it is one of the most extreme battles ever fought. Cliff didn?t talk much about it, but what I know is he was in a machine gun squad, he lost his best friend after carrying him for over a mile, he took a bullet through both his legs and was airlifted off the battle field to Japan.

My great uncle Karl, who was in WWII also, died about a month before Chosin. He was shot up pretty good near Taegu, shipped off the hospital in Japan, but died there.
