    Default Help IDing a tool

A friend of the family sent me this photo and asked if I knew what this was. Her father was a Marine but she didn?t know if that was related.

I can?t shake the feeling that I?ve seen one of these before but I can?t place it. Reverse image search didn?t turn up anything. Any ideas?

Its used to polish brass buttons on a uniform. You see them for sale on Ebay. WW2.

Okay, I did not see the connection to brass buttons.
    A little Google search.

Yeah, you put the buttons on the uniform through the gaps in the tool so that when you polish them you do not get the fabric dirty.
