For the most part I agree. I was excited for a new camera when I bought the S9, thinking it would be decent if not better than the last. I was & still am pretty disappointed. Maybe I got a dud.

Yes, they have. Long story but I just got an S22 Ultra. It has a pretty incredible camera system with 100x telephoto capability. Obviously the resolution isn't that great but for a phone, it's not that bad, either.

Took this tonight with the S22 at 100x. It's very hard to hold it still enough to get a shot. But still...not too shabby for a damn phone...
