    Default Local shop for consignment?

Looking for a local store, preferably south Denver to Co Springs to consign some higher end rifles.

80’s HK 93, 80?’s Galil 386 with original box. Both have spare parts kits, scope mounts, etc. this is all original. I know CO law sucks but I also have ~25 OEM mags for each so I want to work with someone who really understands the law.

I have a few others I may part with including some NFA so that would be a plus.

I've used Springs Armory in the Springs with good luck.
They charge a flat rate of $45, $55 if you hang a rifle on the wall.
Good for 3 months and I think $20 to renew after that.

Why not just sell them on Gunbroker? Those rifles should bring out some serious bidders, set them up as penny auctions with no reserve with a two week time span and sit back and watch a couple idiots try to outbid each other.

you can sell the magazines out of state, selling them consignment in a local shop would not be possible from a legal standpoint unless someone came in from out of state and had them shipped to them.

Prices on gunbroker are insane right now, makes armslist look reasonable on many auctions I've seen recently.

Damage Factory near Arapahoe Rd and I25 handles consignments but I don't remember what the details are.

They're actually pretty generous on terms...I think they'll give you 100% of the sale in store credit if you want to go that route. My problem with them was, I decided to do a test run with them and consign something relatively low value there with lots of extras (including boxes of ammo that are now worth a significant percentage of what they suggested asking), only to have it stuffed in the bottom of the shelf with no indication that half the value was in stuff not on the shelf. I asked about adding more info about the extras, and was told a flat 'no'. So now it's languishing there where no one will probably ever notice it, and I have to pay a background check fee to get it back.

Wish I'd just listed it on here instead, so as others are mentioning, start here first.

My experiences have been different at DF. I've consigned about 10 guns with them over the last few years and I price realistically. Most of the rifles have sold within days of being consigned with the last two being sold within hours. I do have two pistols with them currently that I realize may not be sold anytime soon due to their caliber (.40 S&W), but that's not their fault. The market is flooded with 40's right now.

I do have a buddy who has a couple of rifles on consignment there that frankly, he wants too much for. The fear market that he was hoping to take advantage of, isn't particularly interested in a $2k black rifle. So they have sat for months there.

I may have to eat crow on this one. Stopped by this weekend and it looks like it might have sold. Couldn't find it on the shelf, and after pounding on a computer for a bit they told me they think it's sold... They were a little busy with buyers and nothing in stock that I needed, so I'll check back when it's quieter.

That's been my experience recently as well. Even though they've added a bunch of staff, the place is always hopping. I do a bit of people watching there and its interesting to see the numbers of people buying whatever they can.
