They're actually pretty generous on terms...I think they'll give you 100% of the sale in store credit if you want to go that route. My problem with them was, I decided to do a test run with them and consign something relatively low value there with lots of extras (including boxes of ammo that are now worth a significant percentage of what they suggested asking), only to have it stuffed in the bottom of the shelf with no indication that half the value was in stuff not on the shelf. I asked about adding more info about the extras, and was told a flat 'no'. So now it's languishing there where no one will probably ever notice it, and I have to pay a background check fee to get it back.
Wish I'd just listed it on here instead, so as others are mentioning, start here first.
My experiences have been different at DF. I've consigned about 10 guns with them over the last few years and I price realistically. Most of the rifles have sold within days of being consigned with the last two being sold within hours. I do have two pistols with them currently that I realize may not be sold anytime soon due to their caliber (.40 S&W), but that's not their fault. The market is flooded with 40's right now.
I do have a buddy who has a couple of rifles on consignment there that frankly, he wants too much for. The fear market that he was hoping to take advantage of, isn't particularly interested in a $2k black rifle. So they have sat for months there.

I may have to eat crow on this one. Stopped by this weekend and it looks like it might have sold. Couldn't find it on the shelf, and after pounding on a computer for a bit they told me they think it's sold... They were a little busy with buyers and nothing in stock that I needed, so I'll check back when it's quieter.
