I tend towards Trico Neoform, they tend to do well for me. Years ago I used Bosch exclusively, but they didn't hold up so well.

    +1 Rain-X fluid

    Expensive- Bosch aerotwin, icon, evo,orig.

    Moderate- most of rainX models

    Cheap - Supertech.

Bosch lasted more than 11 years even without silicon treating.
Even cheap under $5 wiper will last over a year with good cleaning treating.

Bosch but make sure it's the Icons. I've tried all the rest & until someone invents a laser that instantly removes rain completely it's all I'll use.

    Nailed it, on both counts.

.455_Hunter asked an apt question because all the windshield wipers I've bought in the past few years have been terrible with fragile little plastic parts that break under normal use. I don't remember all the brands but include mid priced Michelin and recently Rain-X. So similar I suspect they are all made by the same China manufacturer.

I appreciate the recommendations. This evening i picked up some Bosch Icons. Apparently made in China too. Waay pricey. Hope they hold up better.

The rain-x stuff contains a bit of silicone that coats the glass and repels water. Coincidentally, silicone is used to condition rubber and delay the oxidation process.
That blue stuff is just water with a bit of alcohol.

Have to shop around. ebay blowouts, etc.

I often seem to catch stock turnovers or overstock from the big box auto parts stores on ebay and get them at a big discount.

Rain-X wipers. Sounds like I need to try the orange fluid too.
