I remember reading after the Capitol riot that the officer that died, had died of a stroke. That was information directly from the head of the Capitol Police Union...someone I would assume would have accurate info.

That was QUICKLY changed to claim he died from being beat with a fire extinguisher by "the pro-Trump mob". And that's been the narrative ever since. It's been the single worst thing about the riot, that so-called conservative, pro-police people, killed a police officer. It's also the main catalyst that pushed the 2nd impeachment. It was cited during the arguments.

Except...it's not true. The officer in fact died from a stroke the next day and his autopsy showed no signs of blunt force trauma.

They did the same thing as the Russia investigation, used outright PROVEN FALSE media bullshit stories from anonymous sources as evidence.

A few days ago, the New York Times quietly “updated” its report, published over a month earlier, asserting that Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick had been killed by being struck with a fire extinguisher during the January 6 riot.

According to the update, “new information has emerged regarding the death of the Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick that questions the initial cause of his death provided by officials close to the Capitol Police.” As I detailed in a column last week, what the Times calls “new information” actually began emerging the same day the paper filed its January 8 report......

I started a thread about NYT quietly retracting in Politics. Everybody flew by it.

Jason Crow used claim that officer died in riot today in an interview.

It's not that it was ignored, just a repost that was already hashed out a while ago.

    EDIT: Referring to this. https://www.ar-15.co/threads/182530-...ered-Collusion

Not same subject. Your referring to collusion(Time article), hollojas referring to NYT quiet retraction of phoney COD of Capital Hill police officer. I started two threads, repost of Time article and NYT retraction.

The Capitol police say they have very credible and serious intel that some unspecified militia is going to storm the Capitol again tomorrow. The Intel is SO sensitive in fact that they can't tell us what it is. But trust 'em, it's real. It's so "real" the House cancelled tomorrow.

They really think it's believable that somewhere a militia force so large that it can storm a fortified defense of 5,000 Guard troops is building up? Somewhere close enough to DC that they're going to all converge there tomorrow? Wouldn't it be obvious by now if that were true? Wouldn't the militia force be visible by now? Staying in hotels there? Caravaning in? Something? Or is a stealth bus full of them just going to roll up tomorrow and take it down special forces style?

But seriously guys. It's a REAL threat.

It's nothing but propaganda. We're are so dumb.

I won't be surprised if they'll be looking for an excuse to keep forces there...forever. If the politicians were so concerned that the citizenry was so unhappy with their behavior that their lives were in danger, then maybe they would change their ways. That isn't happening.

Was thinking something similar. They will use it as a tool/excuse to outlaw guns, groups, or types of training, etc. One or a combination of those things. Or a reason to help push a 94 style assault weapons ban which did nothing but will make everyone feel better
