Any news on if she was shot by LE or someone else? I haven't seen any reports regarding what went down there.

The division in the country can't be repaired. Ideologies are so polar opposite, there is no middle ground anymore.

Our elections aren't trusted by anyone. We spent 4 years being told that Trump stole it and now it's the opposite. Our elections are a joke. Somehow with paper ballots and in person voting we could count and name a winner so much quicker. Now in the digital age we can't manage to count shit accurately or on time. The fact alone that ANYONE promotes no voter ID makes our elections untrustworthy. Literally the ONLY reason not to require ID is to make it easier to commit fraud. And half the country advocates for that.

The system is broken. Unity gone. Government only cares about itself. The country is falling.

LE. There are multiple stories in the news.

LE might end up standing alone with a lack of support from both sides. When right and wrong are governmentally flexible, it makes enforcement difficult. I?m certainly glad I didn?t take the LE career path.

I saw a video now. She was climbing through a door window when she was shot.

Just one officer shot someone today. I don't think LE in general will lose support of the right.

Watching the videos, it just don't see the animosity between LE and these people that breached the Capitol today like we've seen for so long with LE/antfi. Outside the Capitol, inside the Capitol, LE didn't bring all that much force. Even after the gal was shot the police and mob just begged each other to stop. Call me crazy, but in all the videos I've watched, despite the scuffles, the LE seemed to not be trying too hard to stop them (this shooting aside). Even when face-to-face with the mob today, LE didn't appear to be feeling threatened in the same way they always are when face-to-face with antfi. Not as much concern someone would cold clock them with a brick from behind, set them on fire or blind them with lasers. It truly seems that much of the LE today understood the frustrations being acted on and the mob had no intentions of engaging police any more than was necessary to get in. It sure didn't look personal for most. Overall LE held back today, that's clear, despite one officer pulling a trigger. I don't think folks will be pissed at police in general over that.

There has always been division in this country. Read newspapers from the 1800's. Incredibly divisive. Read letters from, to and about the founders. They were no less assholish than any modern politician.

Most of my immediate neighbors are liberals to some degree, along with many of my co-workers. I would say that 90% of them are professional, polite and courteous, about as opposite as you can get of the deranged individuals you see in the media and elsewhere. They may have some different priorities, goals and ways of achieving them than myself, but are hardly supporters of destroying the country, as they too would be destroyed.

I am really not sure how we move forward, but I have to believe the majority of the citizens in this country are good people.

I thought two people were shot today. One woman in the chest, and then another woman who was shot in the neck.
