Parler
This is outrageous. I love Parler, and just now it appears to be completely down. Anyone know anything about alternatives to Apple and Google phones? Are Linux phones there yet?
BuzzFeed News obtained an email that Apple sent to Parler executives this morning accusing the company of facilitating the activities that took place at the Capitol. The email reads:
"We have received numerous complaints regarding objectionable content in your Parler service, accusations that the Parler app was used to plan, coordinate, and facilitate the illegal activities in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021 that led (among other things) to loss of life, numerous injuries, and the destruction of property,” Apple wrote to Parler. “The app also appears to continue to be used to plan and facilitate yet further illegal and dangerous activities.”
UPDATED 5:42 p.m.: Google has blocked the messaging and social network app Parler from its store.
The company cited the "urgent public safety threat" in restricting the app, touted as a free-speech alternative.
What bunch of horse puckey.
Just download it directly. Android phones allow installs outside the store.
Another reason to not use the Google Play Store. Google is evil. Period.
Progressives: If you don't like Twitter . . . go create your own platform.
Also Progressives: Now that you've created your own platform, we don't like it and we're not going to let it be used.
I was able to download and run the app on my Iphone.

I have had the app since not long after it started. There is no content available within it.

Use your browser to access anything apple and Google app stores block.

So are they going to ban Facebook since it was used by BLM and Antifa for their crap. Next 4 years are going to be an interesting?
