Govt will no longer give you silver for it. Maybe they have value to a collector, but it doesn?t appear to be in good condition.

A neat piece of history when the dollar still was worth something.

Yep. Silver certificates are worth more than their value.

That is an older style that is likely more collectable (it would take some research, but it's worth digging into). More recent versions look much closer to the standard USD and often get cycled through banks who then remove them from circulation.

It’s called a black eagle note. The condition is rough, and just like guns condition is everything. You can comb eBay to see what they are realistically selling for. Some of the notes on there are priced stupid high and never sell, but we all know to look for items with bids.

I have a modest collection of old currency, but no black eagle notes. So I can’t accurately price it without some digging.

Right on the par with avg inflations.

    Value of $1 from 1850 to 2021
$1 in 1850 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $33.39 today, an increase of $32.39 over 171 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.07% per year between 1850 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 3,239.41%.

This means that today's prices are 33.39 times higher than average prices since 1850, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index. A dollar today only buys 2.99% of what it could buy back then.
