Has anyone got their hands on a rare breed trigger? Any reviews how well they function
Does anyone know what the waitlist time is like?
It seems like an interesting trigger and fun.
But I had a couple of thoughts.
1. I wouldn't spend gunbroker prices on one. Even the $380 is maybe high. I look at the trigger as a "disposable item." Although what they they claim says it is within the law of a semi-auto, it is an opinion away from the ATF "determining" it is a machine gun and telling people to turn them in. So the money spent, in my mind, is just throw away money for when the ATF says no more.
2. Colorado might try and ban binary / forced reset / any trigger that make semi-auto "fire faster." This goes with item 1.. throw away money.
3. The Rare Breed doesnt seem to have a non-forced reset position. Could result in a lot of double taps.
4. Inside a range (even outdoor) people would probably be left alone, but imagine trying to explain to average cop if you are out shooting in the woods and people call police about a machine gun.. why it is not a machine gun.. It is like the "2A audits" where people film carrying an AR15 pistol and police dont really know the difference between AR15 pistol with a brace and a rifle. Some ranges may not allow this "rapid fire" semi-auto.
But I am glad people are coming up with creative solutions...
