A small electric heater blower works wonders.

Oh I've tried. It doesn't even put a dent in cold like this. It makes a dent in my insulated and heated garage, but once the door is open, it doesn't stand a chance. I have one, and it just burned up last night, unfortunately.

To your point though, I was outside last night and within five minutes my fingers were numb; even with double gloves. I started a fire in my steel chimenea thing and while that didn't make it comfortable, it kept the feelings in my fingers.

You're suggesting an electric heater. To the guy who caught his 4x4 on fire, using a torch.

    Bushings don't like direct flame.

I went on an inspection today and was all layered up for the single digits. Of course I get there and there are heater/dehumidifiers all over the place and was about 85 degrees inside. Everyone was sweating.

I have one of those propane jet heaters if you wanted to borrow it. Its a good size one. Forget the BTU rating (maybe 120k or 150k) but it will burn through a tank of propane in about 4hrs at full tilt. If the door is down in the garage, it'll run you out.
