Unfortunately, the west slope seems to have dodged the cold snap. Why do I say unfortunately?
That -30 crap has a wonderful effect of relocating transients. Case in point, Craig, CO. I think the average transient population there in the last decade is 0.5. It often gets -30 there in the winter.There used to be a guy that slept under a bridge, but he died.
I'd gladly freeze my nuts off for a couple weeks to get the transients looking for new, warmer places to drop their deuces.
PS: I make a distinction between "homeless" and "transient". Two different classes of people. The former usually is couch surfing, living in a vehicle, etc. - the latter is addicted and an utter societal waste.
